FICTION Richard has published two novels, Five Amber Beads (2006) and It’s Just the Beating of My Heart (2010) and is now completing his third, An American Decade.

POETRY Richard has published poems in Anvil New Poets 3 (Anvil Press, 2001); the Bridport Prize Anthology; Envoi; The Frogmore Papers; The Guardian; The Independent; The Interpreter’s House; The London Magazine; Navis; The North; Other Poetry; Poetry Nottingham International; Smiths Knoll. He was a poetry runner-up in the Bridport Prize 1999.

CRITICISM Richard has reviewed and written essays on art, fiction and poetry in, amongst others, The Jewish Chronicle; The London Magazine;  Modern Painters; The Oxford Companion to Western Art (OUP, 2001); Radical Visionary: The Art of David Breuer-Weil (Skira, 2011).

Richard Aronowitz was born in 1970 to an English father and a German-Jewish mother and grew up in rural Gloucestershire. He studied Modern Languages at Durham and Heidelberg universities and Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. He works for Sotheby's in London and lives in Cambridge.
